The teachers are often asked what they would like to have in the school to improve the quality of education.  These are items the teachers would find useful, but are not immediately necessary.  Contact the school office or Mr. Knickelbein if you would like to help with any of these items or would like more information on any.  Some of these items you may already have, you may find at garage sales, give money for the teachers to purchase on their own, or directly purchase for the school yourself.

4K/Kindergarten Classroom

• Whiteboard - we would like to make the other half of the board be whiteboard.  The materials to do this cost $200-300.

6th through 8th Grade Classroom

• Class sets of novels for reading class ($50-125 per set)

Art Supplies for General Use

• Foam Art sheets (about $5)
• Glitter Glue ($2-3)
• Cricut Cartridges and mats ($17-40)
• Vertical Roll Paper Rack, 8-roll ($550)
• Fiskar Paper Edger Scissors

Shared by All Classrooms

• Library Books - both for classroom libraries and school library (age-appropriate and award-winners are best)
• Laminator - the large-format laminator that we have does not work reliably as it was an early model and does not have the now-standard features to laminate well.  New units cost $1000-2000.
• Scanner - we would like a compact scanner for our computer lab, mostly for use when creating the school yearbook, that is compatible with Windows 7
• Digital Video Camera - for use with classroom projects; one that can upload videos to a computer for use with Microsoft Movie Maker

Administrative

• Outdoor Network Camera - for monitoring the front door, here is a good option at Amazon.
• Promotions - sponsor a professionally designed and/or produced brochure, mailing, billboard, sign, etc. - anything to get the word out about our school.  We can work together to come up with something to fit the amount you would want to give.

Maintenance

• Bathroom faucets - some do not work properly; motion-sense mechanism?
• New front doors - for better first impressions and energy efficiency
