Trinity Lutheran School December Newsletter

Thank You!

Thank you to everyone who gave food for our food drive. We were able to donate our most items ever at 504 donated food items! All food items were donated to Apple Valley Food Pantry and we cannot thank you enough for your generosity. Thank you also to the 4K class for helping us count and box all the items.

Christmas Service and Service Practice

The students are hard at work to getting ready for our Christmas service "Let's Light the Christmas Tree." The service will be December 12 at 4 p.m. at church. Doors will open at 3:30 p.m. and seating will be first come, first serve. Please plan on getting there early to ensure everyone in your party has a place. There will be overflow seating with a livestream in the basement, and the service will be live-streamed on Facebook as well.

We will be having a practice for our service on December 11th from 9-10:30 a.m. Please try to be there as promptly as possible, as it is the only time we are able to run through the whole thing with everyone before the day. We will begin promptly at 9, but please join us whenever you are able. If unable to attend, students can still join us for the program on the 12th. A half sheet will be going home to families to let us know what you are able to attend.

Here are the songs and words that we have been working hard on! Please use the YouTube videos and words below to practice at home.

Away in a Manger (verses 1&2)

Go Tell it On the Mountain (verses 1 and refrain)

I Am Go Glad When Christmas Comes (verse 1&2) (please note a few words are different, but it will help you get the melody down).

Christmas Parade

The Kaukauana Christmas Parade will be December 7th at 6 p.m. All those who are joining us, please congregate at the parade starting point (209 Black Street) . Please note that there will be limited room on the float, and we cannot guarantee everyone who signed up a spot. It will be a first come, first serve situation. We will need a number of people to help us hand out candy bags while walking, so please consider helping us out in that way as well.

Advent Services

There are two opportunities for worship coming up if you are looking for some Advent services.

Trinity Lutheran Church Advent Service: December 8th at 6:30 p.m.

St. John Lutheran Church Advent by Candlelight: December 5th at 4:30 p.m. See flyer below

Enrollment for 2022-2023 School Year

The time is coming soon to begin enrolling for the 2022-2023 school for both 3K and 4K! Enrollment forms and new tuition information will go home before we leave for Christmas, and will be open for our families to return on January 5th. All families who enroll before January 24th will have the $75 deposit waived. Enrollment for non-school families will open on January 24th, so it's important you enroll before classes fill up. Please let us know if you have any questions about that.

We also would like to offer our families Scrip cards for referring other students to our program. Trinity families who refer another family to enroll will receive a $25 gift card! Supplies are limited. Please have the family who enrolled make a note on the enrollment form, or feel free to let us know yourself. Many of the students that we enroll here at Trinity find out about us through word of mouth and we want to say thank you to our families who continue to help us grow!

Snow Days and Outside Play

With winter quickly approaching, there is always a possibility for a snow day. Trinity Lutheran School will be closed if the Kaukauna Area School District cancels. We will send an email notifying you of that cancellation. If there is a 2-hour delay, there will be no school for half day students. Those students who are full day will begin their day at 10 a.m.

All classes will be going outside as long as the weather is above 0 degrees. Please begin to bring appropriate coats, hats, and gloves now that the weather has turned colder. Snow pants and boots need to be brought to school and taken home everyday.

Important Dates

December 11th: Christmas service practice

December 12th: Children's Christmas Service 4 p.m.

December 22nd-January 4th: No School
